It's really hard to spot all the ways contam water could be responsible
- brushing teeth? Handwashing? IIRC you have to boil water for 10
minutes to get most of the nasties out, and even then cryptosporidium
cysts will survive, along with non-organic contamination like heavy
metals.
Wasn't there a piece in one of the mags recently about a decontam
routine for the water system? A big hassle, but this is your health and
well being we're talking about. You could send a sample to your local
Publ;ic Health lab and pay to have it analysed - they do it all the
time for food outlets, or your GP might even agree to send it as part
of his/her treatment plan.
