Hi Frosina

Sorry I didn't get back sooner been out of the office. I have CAS working with
Moodle now, but have a few more questions for you and everybody else.

Although the CAS server login works its not how I see it working from an
external point of view. We have a website and people will login using CAS via
this website. Once they are authenticated they get to access their dashboard
in the external website. From here they will have a link to Moodle. At this
point we need the user to click the hyperlink to Moodle and be logged in.

I assume that we will need to develop something using phpCas, but I am not sure

I think the issues is the fact that this link, will actually be a list of their
courses in a small block. This means that the moment the user logs in to their
dashboard on the website, the single sign on using CAS will have to be
initiated.

If it were just a link then once clicked the user would be logged in to CAS and
therefore get logged in to Moodle automatically, I think, is this the way it
works?

Any help out there would be great

Many thanks
Paul

Subject: Re: [cas-user] Moodle CAS & Spring

Hi Paul, finally someone who is using CAS and moodle:) I have been also working
on CAS+Moodle+Drupal, but i notice that the CAS plugin in moodle is made to
work only with LDAP server.
I've made a system like Moodle&Drupal having SingleSignOn/Off using CAS and
LDAP server, and this is working just fine.
I also try to make a Moodle&Drupal having SingleSignOn/Off using CAS and an
External DB, this is not working unfortunately since moodle makes LDAP mapping
and i can't make ExternalDB mapping. Do you have any idea how can i make this
thing work?

For your problem, i'm not sure that i can help but i will try.
Can you check (do you have access to) the Tomcat server logs for the CAS app?
There you can see bether what is going on. Also check the ldap server logs.
