Wow! Here at Lake (now a pond) Lanier, we we're out and about in high 50 degree
temps, 7-10 winds and great racing. However, there is a threat of snow on
Thursday.

I went frostbiting in my dinghy until the puffs got over 25 and everybody was
getting knocked down. The water temperature in Great South Bay is high
thirties/low forties.

Okay so we were out on a Hinckley 40 power boat and we had heat, but
nonetheless, it was nice to be out on the water on Saturday.

A friend had to go over to the Hinckley yard in Oxford from Annapolis and
asked if we wanted to go along. Of course we jumped at the opportunity. 33
kts and about an hour each way with lunch in Oxford. Needless to say it was a
nice little jaunt. And even with the enclosed cockpit and some heat, it was
still pretty cold.

Saw a few hearty sailors and a few work boats out, but other than that, it
was pretty quiet on the water.
