Thanks again Tim.  I am jonesing to get out of this office and on the boat now 
too.  Even if just for a little tinkering.

as far as the finish, we layed on one layer of lite-weight E-glass on 
both sides
and used a thickened mixture of WestEpoxy® to wet it out...it came out
fairly smooth, then we painted it with white Interlux Briteside...looked
like the inside of a new Beneteau (...ah...except for the rest of the 
interior,
which looked like crap).

But at least we had nice bulkheads and the no-leak/no-rot thing is killer.

Also: we took thin pink insulation foam down below to make templates for 
the
real deal....the pink stuff is rigid enough to stand up as a dummy 
panel, easy to mark
and easy to cut....then we cut the Coosa from that pattern. The original 
plywood bulkies
we took out were too mangled up to serve as proper templates for the 
job..hence the
pinkstuff.

darn...all this talk makes me want to start a project....
