After several observations of a Snowy Owl along Martin Road east of NYS-414 along the border of Fayette and Seneca Falls townships, either at the Lott Farm or by the Finger Lakes Regional Airport, on 13 January a Snowy Owl was found dead alongside Martin Road. But yesterday another Snowy Owl was reported there. It makes me wonder, was there more than one owl there all along, or did this one replace the other, or was the dead one an unsuccessful visitor? How much do they wander around and visit one another?
The bird Tim and Brad saw 5 minutes earlier was on Cayuga Lake ice along Lower Lake Rd by Wolffy's.
