Dear Jiri,

you probably won't lose any information with JPEG. Its compression is lossy, 
but this does not mean that your image looses information!

TIFF is useful for printed media, but in most cases, PNG is a sufficient 
equivalent for lossless compression. TIFF is actually not an image format, but 
a container format and contains extra information useful for printing, and it 
supports CMYK - another feature you won't need for your images. TIFF can 
contain your image both in a lossy and in lossless compression mode.
