I think I finally figured out the problem with floating point in the ARM
gcc-4.4.0 tree.
The summary of the fix : there are several source files for floating
point support. gcc/config/arm/lib1func.asm (and ieee754-??.S) were used
in the gcc-4.1 tree. Somehow we lost that (I suspect an incomplete patch
in gcc).
