So, as some of you know, one of my coworkers was killed in a car crash last week (killed by a drunk illegal alien driving a stolen car)
My boss has been going through some of the stuff in his office, and just brought in a book called "Running A Perfect Web Site", published by QUE in 1995. It makes no mention of Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer. . There's no mention of IIS, ASP, Apache, Coldfusion, or flash. There is mention of using Visual Basic to write CGI scripts (as well as Perl, of course). The book includes a Webmaster CD with all kinds of cool old utilities on it. There's a paragraph in the book that mentions how SLIP/PPP won't do you much good without a high speed modem, but 14.4 and 28.8 modems can be purchased for under $200 now.
