Yes.  This is very true.  However, just like people can "talk with
their wallet" and choose to stop buying gas, employees should start to
choose not to work for companies who don't offer this.  If this is
something you feel strongly about - all the responsibility isn't on
the employers, it's also on the employees to demand it - and be ready
to walk if the company doesn't want to do it.
