If the mass mailouts are being marked as spam, then I would suggest that the marketing company isn't doing its job and by sending them out under your companies name you risk having your company put into blackhole spammer lists.
You are supposed to hire a marketing company that knows how to do these things without getting marked as spammers. That's the primary reason you pay them. Chances are that your current domain name isn't explicitly whitelisted in the customer's system. It probably just hasn't yet triggered a spam filter and therefore hasn't needed to be whitelisted. The bulk of regular communications doesn't hit a black list or a white list, it just passes the normal spam-trap heuristics. So if you start sending out bulk mail that looks like spam under your regular domain name you will have to start getting your customers to whitelist you and until you do that your regular, non-advertising, email runs the risk of getting caught in addition to the bulk stuff. So yes, what your marketing people want you to do is certainly possible. I don't think it is a good idea though.
