New Jack City was filmed in front of our loft in Atlanta. A couple of scenes from California were filmed at the Lucky Street Cafe, where we ate breakfast most days for about three years. My grandfather was an extra in the movie Tank, with James Garner, as a farmer sitting in his truck at an intersection when the tank drives by. The director saw Granddaddy and his truch at the local grocery store and hired him on the spot. I've watched Nights in Rodanthe several times because it has beautiful shots of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, my second favorite place on earth after San Francisco.
