Yeah, but LeCarre is more about the people than the plot isn't he? Take The Constant Gardner or The Tailor of Panama: it's mostly in the titles - the people. His plot is almost the background to talk about the people and all of their motivations and internal musings. Whereas Ludlum is about the weirdo conspiracy plots: The Osterman Weekend, The Bourne Identity, The Matarese Circle, The Aquitaine Progression ... Could be my bias too. Although of course the plots and people overlap in both, but I find LeCarre too slow due to the constant internal character discussion. I perfer a fast moving plot, to massive character development. My wife loves LeCarre, though, and she calls my books Men's Trash. I've been running through Robert Crais lately though ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:288764 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
