I can respect your point of view but I see it differently.

If you are out of work and go work your ass off to try and find a job
you will (hopefully) solve the problem for yourself for an
indeterminate amount of time.

If you are out of work and go try to change the system, you will
(hopefully) contribute to a solution to the problem for millions of
people for an indeterminate amount of time.

The first approach is easier in some ways, harder in others. The
solution is inherently self-centered (not necessarily in a bad way,
just saying that it is about you and yours). The second approach is
easier in some ways and harder in others. The solution may be far more
difficult to achieve but progress on it benefits much larger numbers
of people and potentially for much longer periods. It is, however,
also less likely to actually solve the problem for yourself, at least
in the short term.

In the end, I go for solution number one but I admire and respect
those who go for solution number two. I think that it doesn't deserve
the derision that many people (and most of the media) heap upon it and
that it actually takes a hell of a lot of guts. More than I have right
now. I'm all about scrapping together the pennies and eeking out the
best living I can for my family. But the people who are out there
trying to change a rigged system? They've got my support and I'm glad
to see them challenging things that have gone unchallenged far too
long.

Cheers,
Judah
