You don't use your personal profile to woo clients, or business. You use a Facebook page. Granted, Cam needs to do a little gussying up on this page, but here's an example: https://www.facebook.com/sumo.consulting
And Cam posts a lot of great stuff. I learn so much from links people post on Facebook & Twitter, and news, that it has indeed become my "RSS news feed of choice". But anyway. I'll stop being an evangelist for it. :) I just think it gets a raw deal because of "privacy worries" and the fact that there's still people that think social media is a joke. Those that need good SEO need to remember that Google favors social media indicators now and if you are trying to outrank your competition on the web, you better look at it from all sides. :) On Fri, Apr 13, 2012 at 12:19 AM, Eric Roberts < ow...@threeravensconsulting.com> wrote: > > I understand that completely...but there is no way to pigeonhole clients > and > other potential employers into a group that would be fitting, while still > continuing political, religious, and other more personal discussions that > I > wouldn't normally include my employer or clients in.
