If you fire a weapon..any weapon....you are responsible for any deaths that
occur as a result of firing that weapon.

I think you and Tim are conflating the words 'responsible' and 'justified'.

I am not speaking about the justification of firing the weapon, merely who
is responsible for any deaths that occur as a result.

If I am holding a gun to your head and tell you that if you do not say
something nice about Larry and you refuse, and I shoot you. You are
responsible for your own death, right? Because I warned you what I would do
and you refused to do as I requested.
