CPU: AMD 64 bit. Both for the performance as for the security (supports W^X).
Video: if 2D or low end 3D gaming go for Matrox, if high end 3D gaming you need something else.
Disk: consider SCSI. 18 GB SCSI really isn't that expensive anymore, and it does make a difference. Store your pr0n collection on your server.
Monitor: 2 * 15 " LCD on the Matrox dual head
