I always considered DC and Maryland to be part of the Northeast until I moved here. Then I found out that technically we are part of the south (the Mason-Dixon Line is the Maryland/Pennsylvania Border).
But I think in most people's minds that DC and Maryland are associated with the North and Virginia is associated with the South. (Maybe because of their relative positions in the Civil War? Maryland was neutral) -----Original Message----- From: Jeffry Houser [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 2:07 PM To: CF-Jobs-Talk Subject: RE: The State of Programming in the United States? I'm not sure what is odd. DC isn't part of the northeast; and Connecticut is about ~8-12 hours north of DC.
