A large healthcare company is seeking an experienced contract web designer / coldfusion developer to work with our small team. Our team provides web-based applications under the direction of the marketing department to benefit our patients and website visitors.
As a contract designer/developer on this team, youâre work is largely support driven by many business units and project managers. You must be able to work on multiple projects and work to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail. Weâre specifically seeking a designer/developer with the following skills: ⢠2+ years experience with Coldfusion 7 & 8 ⢠Experienced with Microsoft SQL 7 server, including Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager. Stored Procedure knowledge is helpful. ⢠Must have strong HTML and CSS with cross-browser compatibility, & JavaScript skills including DHTML ⢠CSS-based layout ⢠Must have experience with CFCs and detailed working knowledge ⢠Proficient with using Adobe Photoshop ⢠Understanding of user-centered design methods and practices Other desired skills: ⢠Familiar with qForms, YUI, jQuery, and other AJAX libraries ⢠Microsoft .Net ⢠Ektron CMS 400.Net Work hours include: ⢠Standard business hours from 8am-5pm PST ⢠Minimum of 30 hours per week ⢠Multiple ongoing projects could earn more hours This position offers 99% telecommute - except for an occasional weekly onsite and offsite meetings located in and around the LAX area. Attending local meetings will be a requirement of the job. The right person for this job possess excellent communication skills and have already demonstrated the ability and discipline needed to telecommute on a previous project, client, or job. Youâll need a high-speed internet connection and appropriate security features on your own computer (anti-virus, firewall, etc). Youâll need to be connected over an encrypted VPN connection in order to perform any work. Above everything, your code must be super clean, well thought out, properly indented, and well commented. Youâll also be expected to create documentation. You must be a self-starter, problem solver and not require a lot of management or supervision. This position is contract-based. The initial contract term is for 3 months at $1,800 per week based on a 30-hour work week (or $60 an hour if less). There is no immediate flexibility in contract offering. Work hours will be between 8am to 5pm, typically with some flexibility. If youâre a good fit, the contract will be extended for 6 more months or longer.
