Bill,     In regards to the noise level, is the pump mounting bracket attached directly to the frame, or do you have the bracket "sandwiched" with some rubber bushings ?  If the noise level is still too loud, I found this info in my notes,  Carter electric pump model P4600HP is quieter than the Holley red pump.  And it feeds enough fuel to supply a Holley 850 on top of a ZZ502/502.    Kent '68 Malibu ZZ502/502 :) ACES #5102
