We used strings of LED Christmas lights for our venetian night. We use the same lights on the exterior of the house for Christmas season. We purchased a 850 watt Samplex inverter last year mostly for this purpose. The inverter was cheap and likely will only last a few years but it did the trick. We actually had 10 strands of LED lights and yes the parade was under motor (I cannot imagine hoisting a sail with so many strands in the way!)
