I must be out of the loop on the population of developers and/or users complaining about this. If the issue is the reliance on the Gregorian calendar, where's the push for this coming from? Perhaps Apple sees the Genealogy/Ancient History/Religion as the next killer app category? Sarcasm aside, I'd really like to understand what *common* modern uses there are for non-Gregorian calendars that make what appears to be an ongoing push away from easy so worthwhile.
