http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20774 [math] gamma test cases ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-17 07:12 ------- +1 for writing down the guidelines. This is not obvious. We are not currently internally consistent. One way to become consistent internally for the special case of real-valued functions would be adopt the categorical stance that whenever a real-valued function is invoked with arguments outside of its domain, NaN is returned. This is pretty much what java.lang.Math does. Personally, I have never liked this behaviour, but I could support it. Whatever we decide, the most important thing is that *all* behaviors be clearly documented in the javadocs. Someone should propose a set of guidelines and post to the list. I am willing to take a stab at it, but will not be able to do the necessary analysis until the end of this week. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
