[math] gamma test cases

+1 for writing down the guidelines. This is not obvious. We are not currently
internally consistent. One way to become consistent internally for the special
case of real-valued functions would be adopt the categorical stance that
whenever a real-valued function is invoked with arguments outside of its
domain, NaN is returned. This is pretty much what java.lang.Math does.
Personally, I have never liked this behaviour, but I could support it.
Whatever we decide, the most important thing is that *all* behaviors be clearly
documented in the javadocs. Someone should propose a set of guidelines and
post to the list. I am willing to take a stab at it, but will not be able to
do the necessary analysis until the end of this week.
