The only other issue, though not major, is the inconvenience of having to go through CVS to update a site. Maven site:deploy is certainly easier.
Well, would it really be hard to actually automate a CVS-commit/CVS-remote-update within maven ?
An elementary version (that does not delete files) would be very easily done...
Site deploy also doesn't delete...
