In NT every user has to enter the serial number. Can this be avoided?
Yes.
There is a possibility to avoid repeated typing in.
1. Please log on as administrator or as a person who has already saved the
necessary information.
2. Start RegEdit and change to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM\info
3. Export this part of the registry (with: File -> export registration
file). We recommend saving this file in the Nero directory or in the Windows
directory.
Example: If Nero in the directory C:\Programme\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM has
been installed, then the exported regriatration file could be called:
C:\Programme\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM\Neroinfo.reg
Do not end Reg Edit yet!
4. Now change to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and add a new entry in the shape of a character string, e.g.: NeroStart
The value of the entry should be as follows:
regedit /s "<path to above menttioned registration file>"
e.g.: regedit /s "c:\programme\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM\neroinfo.reg"
(/s = silent mode, which means confirmation is not necessary. The inverted
commas are necessary so that the blanks are seen a being part of the file
name).
5. End RegEdit.
