Warren I like my spring gear Alon also, but someone asked me after 7000 hours in coupes which model did I think was the best of the best and I said the Alon A-2 with old gear and rudder pedals. The pedals are nice in strong crosswind take-offs and the old gear can take greater side loads than the spring gear. I like the A-2 over the Mooney because the A-2 has a rear window. gene
