Greetings Coupers
As I am going thru my annual inspection, I found a little play in the control mixer. After removing it became apparent that there was a crack in the rudder portion of the control. When we replaced it along with bearings, shaft and securing bolt all play was gone. We then decided to thoroughly go through all of the control system, We ended up replacing a hand full of Hime joints and both rudder control arms to remove more play. We also had to change the top control mast arm to remove play and the reoccurring cable inspection AD. With all of the components up to specifications we began to tram the system. All went well until we got to the ailerons deflection part, we can not get the travels to equal out.

Now to my question!
The procedure starts by centering the top control mast arm with both yokes locked in neutral position. When thing did not work out, I went back to the mast for a closer look. I found that when the top arm is properly aligned the casting at he bottom of the control shaft in not perpendicular to it! Is the hole drilled in the wrong position or is it supposed to be offset a little? If it's wrong it would explain the improper deflections we have.

Can anyone look at there control mast to see if the Tee at the bottom of the mast is perpendicular with the arm at the top of the mast?

Thanks
Brian Bailey
