BTW I just did the following steps manually /usr/bin/updmap-sys --syncwithtrees /usr/bin/updmap-sys /usr/bin/mktexlsr and now everything is fine. I think the call to /usr/bin/updmap-sys is missing from the texlive postinstall scripts.
