No one knows how far back in your line these pups go for starters. And, just
because this person is advertising in the papers doesn't mean they still aren't
screening for good homes. You might call just to say that you are the Von
Shrado line and you were interested in meeting another member of the "family".
You could be calling to find out if they have shown at all, and if so how they
have done. Have they excelled in obedience, agility, tracking? Do they do any
therapy work with them? Say you would love to know how the health testing came
out for your breeding records. Is mom OFA excellent? Gee wouldn't that be nice
to know. If nothing else you may get the chance to educate this person so any
future breedings are well planned, or you may set your mind at ease and find
that this person is breeding responsibly.
Good luck. I know you can never have ultimate controll of what happens to your
line several generations down the road, but at least this person seems to
recognise the Von Shrado line as something worth advertising.
