Hi, The .ppd files are in fact XML-files - what you are shown when clicking on the link is textual content!
Note, that http://www.cedet.dk/perl is NOT as such a ppm repository, so you need to download the file to your local disk (right click on the link and choose save target as... (or similar)). Try following the howto http://www.cedet.dk/perl/#howto - it has worked for me in the past. The machine on which I need to install it has no internet connection. From what I can tell ftp.esoftmatic.com no longer exists, and Ive been looking on http://www.cedet.dk/perl/, but for some reason the .ppd links for DBD-Oracle do not work, they simply give me this email address.
