Yes, Santa Monica Blvd. in LA. The club (or should I say Thee Club) opened on the 27th, the Dead's shows on the 28th and 29th there were part of the grand opening. Antother group advertised to play there was Roxy: http://www.posterscene.com/html_index.cfm?page=item_page&itemoid=10930 http://www.posterscene.com/html_index.cfm?page=item_page&itemoid=41550 Thanks! They must have been one of the first bands to play there: here's a reference to the club a few weeks later, which mentions it is "fairly new, but they are growing fast": http://caltechcampuspubs.library.caltech.edu/913/1/1970_09_24_72_01.pdf The article also promotes the GD show on 9/25 in Pasadena, which we know very little about.
