Tool used to build a database up of the Linux kernel commits,
including all stable branches, in order to quickly and simply
query it later on to determine where patches are commited
across branches and what commits fix which other commits.
This package is relevant to me, since it is used in the
course of searching for stable-tree backports of upstream
commits. This can be used to help with fixing CVEs and other
vulnerabilities in the Linux Kernel. I believe it may be of
interest to others for similar applications as well.
It is also a dependency of a software project I am working on,
and I would like to have an easy time installing and
maintaining it on different machines.
I am looking for a sponsor to help me maintain this package,
though it should not be much of a burden since it is a simple
package. An initial packaging is available on Salsa at
https://salsa.debian.org/cremfuelled/verhaal/
