Package: gaim-guifications
Version: 2.12-1
Severity: wishlist
Many people get annoyed when you IM them when they just got online,
and consider it impolite when you do so. (I don't know why. Maybe it's
because, if they are only going on the computer for 2-3 min e.g. to
check their email, they don't want to start IM conversations during
such a short computing session.)
My point:
It would be nice if Guifications had an option: "Do not notify me that
a person has come online or unaway until they have been present for:
(X) minutes." IMO, a good default value for X would be 3.
Kind regards,
Jason
