I note that openEMS was packaged at one point by the Debian Science Team, but the last work was apparently in 2021 based on a previous upstream release. The work I plan to do is re-packaging starting with upstream released version 0.0.36, which itself may prove to be somewhat out of date (22 Oct 2023 release) relative to recent upstream development work.
