I would consider this a critical bug in openmotif, because installing it
breaks unrelated packages.  I think it's also a violation of the sarge
release policy by extension of:

        Packages must not install programs in the default PATH with
        different functionality with the same file name, even if they
        Conflict:.

However, the bug is only present in the version of openmotif in woody,
because the version in sarge has a different soname; so there's no sense in
asking the openmotif maintainer to fix it.

A solution for nedit would be for lesstif2 to conflict with libmotif.
Better yet would be for lesstif-dev to keep /usr/lib/libXm.so, but to change
the soname to something like libXm.so-lt.2 to avoid ABI conflicts.

Or, if lesstif is stil aiming for full binary compatibility, fixing the ABI
up to match would be fine too. :)
