sounds like an unversioned dependency from cpp-3.0 to gcc-3.0-base would help. The versioned dependency is there, because doc/cpp-3.0 is a symlink to doc-gcc-3.0-base. With the unversioned dependency you would not get the changelog.Debian.gz from the new cpp-3.0. I am wondering, why this did not show up earlier (3.0.1 to 3.0.2). I think, manually building the first 3.0.3 for sparc would help. Matthias
