I've taken over recently the swish++ package, so far so good. After two weeks I got some bug reports of segfaults that I wasn't able to reproduce first. Now I can reproduce them with another command.
Ok here are the results of my fiddling around with different compilers. i386: 2.95.4 : without optimization : ok -O2 , -O1: segfault g++-3.0: ok even with -O3 sparc64: 2.95.4: everything ok 3.0: bus error with or without optimization So my questions are: What are the known issues with those compilers? Is the trial and error method the usual approach ? ;-) Given the results above is it licit to blame the compiler(s)? Thanks for your attention, MH PD My knowledge of C++ and the g++-compiler is rather basic - not to say non-existent, as you can parse above. -- (Dr.) Michael Hummel mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] || [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- fprint = F24D EAC6 E3D7 372C 9122 D510 EB24 01CA 0B56 B518 id: 1024D/0B56B518 key: http://www.seitung.net/key
