Package: gcc-3.3
Version: 1:3.3-0pre9
Severity: normal

When I installed gcc-3.3 via

apt-get install gcc-3.3

on mips testing on 5/19, it didn't generate the /usr/bin/{gcc,cc} symlinks
to /usr/bin/gcc-3.3. Maybe this is expected (since when I typed 'apt-get
install gcc' it tried to install gcc-3.2, which I interrupted during the
download phase).

yes, it's expected. The symlinks are provided in the gcc-defaults
(source) package, which is still in unstable (and probably will
migrate to testing in eight days).
