in openoffice sparc linux this problem is only with large modules
dbaccess, sd, sw, sc

(c) for gcc-3.3.1 the same files will link OK using -Wl,--export-dynamic

(d) from sc/util/makefile.mk might be relevant??

This is the same problem as bug #204615, which was fixed in binutils
2.14.90.0.6-2, so I'm closing this bug.
