Package: gcc-3.4 Version: 3.4.0-4 Severity: important Hello,
few packages (at least icewm and rxvt-unicode) use gcc to link C++ applications that do not require special libstdc++ features (resulting in avoiding a useless dependency). However, gcc-3.4 fails to link with -lsupc++ for unknown reason! /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lsupc++ collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Regards, Eduard. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 Versions of packages gcc-3.4 depends on: ii binutils 2.14.90.0.7-8 The GNU assembler, linker and bina ii cpp-3.4 3.4.0-4 The GNU C preprocessor ii gcc-3.4-base 3.4.0-4 The GNU Compiler Collection (base ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.0-4 GCC support library -- no debconf information
