There are lots of errors (that is, complaints about the sample code), but it looks as if this compiler bug is fixed.
I think it's OK to close. I noticed the install of g++-3.4 did not change my default compiler, but did upgrade libgcc1. Is it safe for me to leave my system as is, or do I need to do something more drastic for 3.3 to work properly? (All the warnings about ABI changes have me a bit concerned, though since I have an AMD chip they appear not to apply to me.) (Yes, I haven't quite figured out how to set up a chroot. I know that would have been the proper approach.)
