reassign 318292 gcc-4.0 thanks GCC 4.0 is causing ICEs trying to build zlib on m68k with -O3. I filed this report with the idea that I would investigate it before filing on GCC 4.0 but I'm not 100% sure what I was going to investigate. From the build log:
| gcc -O3 -g -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DUSE_MMAP -DHAS_snprintf -DHAS_vsnprintf -c -o deflate.o deflate.c | deflate.c: In function 'deflate_fast': | deflate.c:1373: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault | Please submit a full bug report, | with preprocessed source if appropriate. | See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions. | For Debian GNU/Linux specific bug reporting instructions, see <URL:file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.0/README.Bugs>. | make[1]: *** [deflate.o] Error 1 | make[1]: Leaving directory `/build/buildd/zlib-1.2.2/build-tree/zlib-1.2.2' | make: *** [debian/stampdir/build] Error 2 The same problem occurs with the current 1.2.3 code. -- "You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream - or a fever." -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
