I am confused by the history of this patch:

- created on 2008-07-05 in the gcc-4.3 branch by doko
- converted to quilt and updated several times on the gcc-4.4 branch
- removed on 2010-06-16 in the gcc-4.4 branch by doko (rev 4510), or
  perhaps renamed to gcc-m68k-support-for-tls-backport.diff? Commit
  message was:

  * Add M68K TLS support, backport from the 4.5 branch. Closes: #586060.

- it is still present however in the gcc-4.5 and gcc-4.6 branches, where
it has been refreshed a couple of times and is still being applied (by
  rules.patch).

Is this patch still needed in GCC 4.5 and 4.6?
