If you haven't been part of local team organizing a DebConf, you don't know how frustrating and demoralizing this kind of discussion is. The local team is working really hard on solving tons of issues, trying to organize a nice and productive DebConf for us all, and when some people just throw shit at the fan, the only thing you want to do is to give up and run away. No money (loan or donation) has been accepted on behalf of DebConf. I think this kind of discussion (about transparency) is important. But it can wait. Please use your time and energy on something more productive and urgent.
