compatibility in debian

Hi,   I am planning to install Debian on my machine and get completely rid of windows XP. I would like to know what are the software compatibility issues regarding Debian in general. Can I install and run new games, such as GTA3, SOF2, Wolfenstein, Unreal Tournament on Debian? I would also like to know if I can run other applications such as MS Office XP or Adobe PShop 7.   Thanks for your support,   Æ.
