I have a Lenny box running the 2.6.18 kernel. I have the following sources added to the Lenny ones: deb http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian/ etch main contrib deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib.
This gives me kernel version: 2.6.18-5. At "http://packages.debian.org/etch"; it shows kernel version 2.6.18-6.
