You are right. I am using Thunderbird as email client on Windows
machines at work. I am happy with Lightning addon (include network
calendars) in these installations. But in Linux i prefer the Claws
Mail, it has vCalendar plugin, but remote calendars support is limited
(or i don't know how to use it).

For now i am using the Orage - XFCE calendar application, but it
is without network calendars support, then i cannot share my calendars,
e.g. between PC and tablet, by simple way.

I am looking standalone calendar application too, the best one will with
Cal/CardDAV support, but i was no success :-(
