I'd second that,

On a daily basis I use d5, d7, d2007 and it is a pain going back to the
older ide's. I have all 3 open right now as I flick between jobs.

I have legacy projects in the older versions which aren't practical to
upgrade - mostly because of different third party component versions -
fastreport is one of the problems.

Recently I've written a whole new project in d2007, and converted another
large legacy project from d5, and apart from getting the various components
to play nicely together, there have been no dramas. Overall I like it better
than the others.
