I just managed to install foresight on my laptop. I had a false start installing a minimal system, thinking that I'd be able to install package by package from the CD at a later stage. That failed miserably though, I guess it's because I'm not familiar enough with the package system. Trying to boot the CD and upgrade to "all packages" failed as well.
So far it looks good. I had to manually modify the X.org config to accept my desired 1280x800 screen size. I had to copy the mode line from my Ubuntu system. Now, the next step is to compile sl-modem. BT still hasn't made good on their promise to put the cables in the ground so I'm stuck on dial-up... /M -- Magnus Therning (OpenPGP: 0xAB4DFBA4) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://therning.org/magnus Software is not manufactured, it is something you write and publish.
