I just managed to install foresight on my laptop. I had a false start
installing a minimal system, thinking that I'd be able to install
package by package from the CD at a later stage. That failed miserably
though, I guess it's because I'm not familiar enough with the package
system. Trying to boot the CD and upgrade to "all packages" failed as
well.

So far it looks good. I had to manually modify the X.org config to
accept my desired 1280x800 screen size. I had to copy the mode line from
my Ubuntu system.

Now, the next step is to compile sl-modem. BT still hasn't made good on
their promise to put the cables in the ground so I'm stuck on dial-up...
