Public bug reported:

Last upgrade, having the PS2 mouse connected caused Ubuntu 20.04.1 to
lock up the computer on a black screen. ASUS Mobo, Quad core AMD,
64-bit; 1 TB WD HDD. Mobo is a circa 2014 so still well within it's
life.

Withdrawing support for PS2 equipment at this EARLY stage makes us
computer owners wonder why as there's no reason to do that this early.
They are still making and selling brand new PS2 mice and keyboards! This
bug likely applies to PS2 keyboards as well though I didn't test that.

This upgrade, first one since Ubuntu stopped supporting PS2 equipmnet a
couple three weeks ago (it's 12/26/20 today), it didn't lock up the
computer this time so that was fixed, but PS2 mice still don't work!??
Why??
