4 weeks have passed since this the initial call for support, and as you
can see at http://hsqldb.sourceforge.net/web/openoffice.html, it was
quite a success.

Thanks to everybody who contributed! Also thanks to everybody (I know
there are a lot!) who simply spread the word, reaching even more people
this way.

To keep you up-to-date what happened, let me tell you that significant
progress has been made in the feature to change the type of an existing
table column (including changing the auto increment attribute), and
quite some issues have been fixed. Current work is on issue 44127 [1],
which, when fixed, allows HSQLDB to use locale-specific sorting.

So, let me renew the call: If you want to contribute to making
OpenOffice.org's database a success, and are wondering what you can add
except development, bug triaging, and documentation: the pot at
http://hsqldb.sourceforge.net/web/openoffice.html is still open :)

Thanks for considering
Frank Schönheit
